Hi Everyone,

I haven’t been updating this site on a regular basis as I have been busy creating a new blog called, “Free MLM Leads Daily”.

The blog is not ready yet, as I haven’t finished setting up all my plugins and widgets, but please stop by for preview.

Thank you everyone for visiting.

I own several websites, and I know generating traffic to a particular website is no easy task. Most of my sites average between 10-100 unique visitors per day, but I do have one site that does particularly well. The site is an adult oriented site; therefore, I do not wish to disclose the name of the site here. BUT, the concepts I used to generate traffic to this site can be used for any website.

Here is a graph depicting my visitor statistics since the sites inception in March of 2008.

Site 1
Absolute Unique Visitors Graph - High

I know what you’re thinking so take a look at the graph below. This graph shows the traffic for another adult oriented site I started around the same time as Site 1.

Site 2
Absolute Unique Visitors Graph - Low

Why the big difference in visitors?!

  1. Site 1 and Site 2 started off with weekly updates, but then I cut back on Site 2 and only posted monthly updates. This explains why both sites start with low visitors and only Site 1 sees an increase in visitor traffic. I now update Site 1 on every even numbered day which explains the average visitor count changing from 80-100 to 800-1000 unique visitors per day.
  2. I found another adult oriented site that received a lot of traffic and accepted links for FREE. I submitted a link which caused my first spike of over 10,000 visitors. I continue to submit my links to this site on a regular basis in an effort to exchange traffic, build my page rank, and increase traffic.
  3. Besides posting on your own site, you must post on other related sites often. I post my links regularly on the other site, this is the reason for the other spikes.

How can this information work for your site?

  1. The frequency of your updates is important. You must update your site often or have a good reason for people to return everyday. If you own a blog, you must make at least 1 post per day.
  2. There are other sites that are probably similar to yours and already have a good reputation, do they offer link trades? Or can you be a guest writer and include a link to your site? You can try buying ad space, but most people ignore ads.
  3. I have submitted several dozen links to the other site, but there are only four spikes. The quality of your posts on other sites will greatly determine if others will visit your site. You can’t just post things like, “Hi everybody, check out my site www.yourdomain.com”

What if I don’t own a website and all I have is an affiliate link?

You must be creative in your advertising as you will be competing against others who have the same affiliate link. You must weigh your advertising costs against your affiliate commission.

DO THIS, browse around TrafficSwarm, how many people are advertising the same product? Sure TrafficSwarm is FREE, but is it worth the effort if everybody on TrafficSwarm is advertising the same thing? You have to think outside the box, but you always have to keep the “Bottom Line” in mind; because, if your cost to advertise is more than your commission, you’re only THROWING MONEY AWAY!

I have decided to dis-continue marketing all the items I have been pursuing and focus on one opportunity. I am going to stick with MyJetStream.

I have temporarily stopped my automatic delivery of products while I buckle down and start to focus on promoting my opportunity. The first order of business is to identify my personal prospects and send them my opportunity.

I know my family is against MLM so I’m starting with my friends. I’m also trying something radical on TrafficSwarm, instead of having people sign-up to receive my FREE product, I am giving away my product (A report I wrote about MLM.) and asking them to sign-up afterwards if they like what they read. I figure I have to be different, but we’ll see how it goes. I realize all the experts say create a squeeze page, give something free in return for contact information, cross-sell and upsell, and then market your opportunity, but I just want to try something different.

For several weeks I have been receiving calls from a number that shows up as “Unavailable” on my cell phone caller ID. The number would call at all hours of the day, and I consistently ignored the call.

Recently I decided to pick up the call and the caller identified himself as being from Platinum Rewards. For being a preferred customer they wanted to send me a $60 gift card. The caller had the last four digits of my credit card number, and my billing address. I told the caller I wasn’t interested and to stop calling me (Of course there were a few swear words in there).

The next day I received a call from 123456789. That’s the number that was displayed in my cell phone caller id. The caller had the same offer, and again I told them I was not interested and to not call me.

The next day I received a call from 866-638-2591. Guess what, I got the same offer, and again I told them I was not interested and to not call me.

Later that same day I received a call from 866-746-1156. You guessed it, same offer again.

I did some searching on the Internet and I put my number on the “National Do Not Call Registry” again and I also filed a complaint with the FCC.

On one of the calls, I listened a little while longer and they told me, in order for them to send me my “FREE” gift, I had to agree to a trial of some product (I don’t remember the product). The first thing that came to my mind was “SCAM” and “PHISHING”, and that’s when I got upset and told them not to call.

Anyone else get this type of call? I’m very close to changing my number.

I just received another phone call. The caller ID showed 123456789. I answered nicely, asked for the callers name, company (Your Card Rewards), and contact telephone number (888-623-1623). I then asked the nice woman to remove my number from their calling list. She thanked me for my time and hung up. Very polite, but still annoying. We’ll see if these people call me back.

I haven’t been updating this site and doing much research, as I have been busy working on other projects. I actually own a few websites:

www.VWClubOfHawaii.com - Official Website of the VW Club of Hawaii
www.HawaiiCarShows.com - Not updated for a while, as I haven’t gone to many car shows lately.
www.AirlineJargon.com - New Site I’m working on. I work in the airline industry, and thought this might be cool.

The VW Club of Hawaii website is my main focus. I decided to make the site for the club because my best friend is a member of the club. On September 1, 2007 I attended the VW Club of Hawaii annual Food Bank and Car Show, later that same evening, I launched the VWClubOfHawaii.com website with a simple CSS Template and a gallery.

I didn’t have any stats setup until about a month later; therefore, I have no idea how many people visited the site during the first month. I do know that traffic was steady with about 25 unique visitors per day after the first month. Today, more club members know about the site and even a few out of state car clubs know about the site, and my unique visitor count is about 100 unique visitors per day. I’m hoping to get traffic to around 1000 unique visitors per day so that I can charge a higher premium for my 125×125 ad space.

I’m also helping the Air Cargo Association of Hawaii redo their website. Click here to see the old Air Cargo Association website. The association needed an easy method to make updates to their site. I thought Wordpress would be perfect for them as it’s very easy to use, and I use Wordpress a lot. This started out as something just for fun to practice my use of Wordpress, but the association recently asked me to be their official Webmaster. I still work for free, but I like the title and backing of the association.

I am looking to change the design of this site for 2009. I don’t really like the layout. The columns don’t really support 125×125 banner ads. I’m looking for something that has a sidebar that can accomodate 2 columns of 125×125 banners and a large footer area. I’m not sure if I want the sidebar on the left or the right. Very Important: The new theme has to be free!

Anybody got any ideas, please leave me a comment.
