Archive for the “Mike Dillard” Category

A couple of weeks ago I received an offer via email for “pre-release” access to Magnetic Sponsoring’s Pay Per Click (PPC) Domination.

I had tried PPC a few months ago. I spent about $80 and received 6 leads, so I gave up and vowed never to try PPC again.

All I can say is, “Never say Never”.

Only 250 copies of PPC Domination were sold in the pre-release for $197, and I got one.

The course consists of a few PDFs and 14 videos. I have watched five videos so far, and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed and happy that I made the purchase.

After only 2 days with live ads, I have 4 leads and only spent $14. I am already doing better than what I did on my own.

The Videos I’ve Watched So Far:

Foreword (15:06) - “Who’s Jim Yaghi and why is he qualified to show you the ropes with PPC?”
Jim is the #1 Affiliate for Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring

Video 1 (13:37) - “Introduction: The Sales Funnel”
Prospecting is illustrated as a funnel in which a large amount is introduced at the top, and then gets smaller toward the bottom as prospects become qualified.
Intro to terms:
Lead Generation Page = Grab Attention, offer something in return for their name and email address.
Autoresponder = Automates the sending of emails to prospects.
Funded Proposal = Low Cost Product to Recover Cost of Advertising.

Video 2 (12:39) - “The Perfect Prospect”
There are three types of prospects:
1. People looking for information to solve a problem.
2. People who buy a similar product.
3. People looking for a product by name.

In MLM / Network Marketing terms:
1. People looking to solve a money problem.
2. People in a competing MLM. People looking for a mentor.
3. People looking for a specific opportunity.

Video 3 (19:18) - “Domain Names: Getting Your Internet Street Address”
Mistakes to avoid when buying a domain name. Brainstorming domain names.

Video 4 (25:20) - “Landing Pages: How to Create a Welcome Mat that Turns Visitors into Friends”
Learn the different parts of a landing page, and how to forward your generic URL to your new domain.

Well, let’s start off with just News. I received my shipment of Ageless Xtra, so I decided to stop taking Essentials. Essentials tastes fruity while Ageless Xtra kinda reminds me of V8. We all know my blood pressure is high so I’m not going to report on my blood pressure unless I notice a significant drop.

The Bad News, the tax thing we learned from Harrison may be a scam, but I’m not going to pass any judgement until the end of the year when it’s time to do our taxes. A source that knows Harrison warned me not to get sucked in by his “Tax Scheme” as we could end up paying at the end of the year and/or being audited by the IRS. I checked the IRS website and it says, “The public should not be fooled by home-based business schemes that claim taxpayers can deduct most, or all, of their personal expenses as business expenses.” The IRS actually has a large section dedicated to “Abusive Home-Based Business Tax Schemes”. My wife and I already changed our W4s so I just told my wife we really need to save all the extra cash we are getting (from adjusting our W4s) just in case we have to pay at the end of the year.

The Good News, my Xango upline just placed someone under me. She called and said she does this for anyone not moving at the same pace as the others in her downline (guess I’m slow…hehe). She encourages her downline to do this for their downline so everyone can be successful. I just need a total of 3 people on my first line, then I can start helping those 3 people build their downline. I really want to quit by early next year.

I have an update on all the other things I have tried so far. For “Magnetic Sponsoring” and The 7 Great Lies, I tried placing a few ads using Google adwords. I guess I should have read “Building on a Budget” first, because that report said not to try google adwords yet. Well, I spent about $60 and I got about 7 email addresses for The 7 Great Lies, and not one person has purchased anything. I did get one sale on Magnetic Sponsoring, but I can’t figure out where the sale came from. I have stopped using Google adwords for the moment, until I learn how to write better ads and better capture pages. Magnetic Sponsoring and The 7 Great Lies are going to take a back seat while I focus on Xango.

Quick Compare - Univera vs MyJetStream/Xango:

Univera MyJetStream/Xango
Univera has a gifting system for face to face marketing, but I have yet to find someone successfully marketing Univera online. Xango can be done face to face, but the MyJetStream system provides a method of marketing Xango online. You may also purchase MyJetStream leads, and my group does marketing coops. For the marketing coop, an ad is placed in a major magazine and team members can purchase shares of the coop.
Follow-up calls are made by my wife’s upline, my wife simply “gifts” the product and her upline will do the follow-up. Using the MyJetStream system, the system does the majority of the selling of the product via the MyJetStream website and videos. In the beginning your upline is available for three-way calls, but you will eventually be doing the follow-up calls on your own.
You can try the tax option, but I don’t feel right promoting it until I see our results at the end of the year. Celebrity Endorsements
NOTE: Not all Univera associates do follow-up calls for their downline, and not all associates promote the tax option.
Both products claim to improve health.
Has a weight loss product. Announcing a skin car product in the near future.
Both promote teamwork and helping your downline.
Bonuses and car program Dynamic Compression

If you would like to join my wife and promote Univera, send me an email with your name and address and we’ll send you a gift.

If you would like to join me and promote Xango, go to www.MyJetStreamHawaii.com.

Webster’s dictionary defines a scam as, a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation. Are “Magnetic Sponsoring” and “The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” scams? By Webster’s dictionary definition, Yes, these two systems are a scam as they contain deceptive acts. But wait a minute though; tobacco companies put nicotine in cigarettes knowing that nicotine is an addictive drug. What about car salesmen? Haven’t you ever spent some time with a car salesman “Negotiating” a price on a car? The car salesman already knew exactly how low he could go. By Webster’s dictionary, these are all scams as they are deceptive acts! I am here to identify three deceptive acts of Magnetic Sponsoring and The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.

I purchased both of these systems, and yes I will stand behind the practices of both systems, but I want to make it clear, that these systems are not FREE and will cost you some money. This is deception number 1. Both systems draw the buyer in by offering a FREE product. The product is information that only addresses the tip of the Network Marketing / MLM iceberg. To get the full details you have to pay. I spent $80 on Magnetic Sponsoring and one of Magnetic Sponsoring’s other products, “Building on a Budget” ($39.95 each). I also spent $67 dollars on “The Renegade Network Marketer” which included “The Renegade System”, which is the “meat and potatoes” of The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing. All of these items are the basic tools to promote these systems.

Deception number 2 is the urgency created in the advertisements of these systems. This is standard practice for almost all advertising; therefore, I’m not really going to touch on this subject. We’ve all seen this type of advertisement in other businesses. These are the attention grabbing headlines that get people to take action!

LIMITED TIME OFFER!

ACT NOW!

ONCE IT’S GONE, IT’S GONE FOR GOOD!

The last deception is the biggest and most complicated. Each system made marketing sound like child’s play. They made it sound like just by mentioning these products, people would be beating down your door. Guess what, if you read the fine print, “Marketing” is not guaranteed. Marketing cannot be guaranteed! How successful you are in promoting the materials in these systems all depend on your marketing skills. The information contained in these systems is excellent! I work for a small corporation in Hawaii in the Internet Marketing department. The concepts you can learn about using the Internet to market a product are the same concepts being implemented at my place of work (We recently got listed on NASDAQ). The deception is that these concepts are not easily implemented. The concepts take a lot of work and a lot of creativity. You can get results with hard work, but you can get outstanding results with creativity.

Why creativity? If we all learn the same techniques and we all use the same marketing to promote the same product to get the sale, and we all advertise in the same place, who do you think is going to get the actual sale? Any one of us could get the sale? But what if you think outside of the box, and get “creative” with your marketing? What if you took the techniques you learned and take it to another level? How easy is it going to be for you to get the sale?

Marketing these systems is going to be the toughest to master, but both systems will give you a good foundation to build upon. But, you need to take it to the next level to truly succeed. Now that I’ve brought to light the deceptive acts of these systems, are they SCAMS? NO. The truth is, you are buying a turnkey system that you must market. And your success depends on how well you market the product.

I found two other “systems” that made claims similar to “The Renegade System”. The first product was called the “Online MLM Secrets Mastermind Course” and the second was called the “Magnetic Sponsoring Boot Camp”.

The Online MLM Secrets Mastermind Course had a low cost of only $7, but it had a monthly cost of $47 dollars. I wasn’t ready for that, so I quickly cancelled that program. I didn’t read that much into it; therefore, I am not going to make any judgments about the product, but the brief time that I was enrolled in the system, I did see the similarities with the system compared to The Renegade System. The biggest difference being, The Online Mastermind Course required that you setup an auto-response emailer, where as The Renegade System already had one built in. The drawback with The Renegade System built in auto-responder, is that it’s strictly for promoting The Renegade System and The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.

The Magnetic Sponsoring Boot Camp used a similar technique like The Renegade System in that the initial “Sell” or “draw” was to give out something FREE, in their case, a free video tutorial. If you can wait, the video tutorial is revealed over a period of several days. If you can’t wait, you can pay a fee of $39.95 to get all the videos in a matter of minutes. Yes, I paid the fee to get the videos. I haven’t completely gone through the system as I haven’t finished going through The Renegade System yet.

All three systems offered to teach people how to build a large downline. All of the systems basically had the same information, in that the old style of using a “Warm” list doesn’t work that well in today’s market, and that the reason why most people fail is that they continue to use outdated marketing techniques. All of the systems preached to NOT use conventional MLM / Network Marketing techniques to grow your downline. They all reiterated that the people that are successful in MLM / Network Marketing Pre-sell and pre-qualify the prospect first. The successful MLM / Network Marketer doesn’t go out looking for prospects, prospects seek out the successful Network Marketer.

Each system had their version of how to get prospects to seek you out instead of the other way around. Each identified the importance of building your own “Mailing List”. Each stated the best form of marketing and lead generation is via the web. Each had sample content (From Free to Paid), and they all highly recommended the development of unique content for web pages. Some gave advice on where and how to advertise and even what to say in your advertisement to bring traffic to your site, but again they all highly recommended the development of unique advertisements. Each system spouted the importance of becoming an expert in a specific area to be your selling point, the reason why customers/prospects would come to you.

As I mentioned, I dropped out of The Online MLM Secrets Mastermind Course, but that was only because of the monthly fee. I did not see recommendations on how to advertise using this system, but that may have been in another tutorial.

I mentioned in my first review of The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing, that The Renegade System is supposed to help you do it all, content (The Information), traffic (The Visitors), and conversions (The Prospects). Each of the systems I mentioned above can help you, and some do a better job in certain areas.

CONTENT or the information. The content can be copied from other sites legally, or you can use some of the templates provided in the systems (whichever system you decide to buy), but the best content will be the unique content you create yourself. Basically, become an expert in one of the various parts of MLM / Network Marketing and build upon that. If you have the best product in the world, but you don’t know how to write a simple sentence stating the benefits of the product or how it works, how is anyone going to know what the product is for or how it works?

TRAFFIC or the visitors basically means getting people to view your information. Advertising for your website. You can have the best product in the world, but if nobody knows about the product, no one is going to buy the product. There are several ways to generate traffic, and each method to generating traffic is a “discipline” by its own right (Pay per click, print ads, online ads, banners (placed on other sites), and ezines). Your best bet is to try several means of traffic generation, but don’t put all of your eggs in one basket!

CONVERSIONS or The Prospects basically is the percentage of people who actually purchased from you or opted in compared to the number of visits you received. If you have 100 visitors a day and 50 people either buy or opt in, then you had a 50% conversion (Most people don’t get this high of a conversion rate.). Conversion can be as simple as an A / B test.

Advertisement A
“Report Reveals How to Get Better Gas Mileage!”

Advertisement B
FREE Report Reveals How to Get Bette Gas Mileage!”

Do you think more people will respond to ad “A” or ad “B”? This is A / B Testing! Conversion doesn’t apply to just advertisements; it also applies to articles, and other forms of communication. If people need to call an automated voice message, do you think you’ll get better results with a female voice or a male voice?

All of the systems I mentioned have other items for sale once you access the back end. They can be very cheap to very expensive (Over $200). Don’t rush in and buy all kinds of things! Read through all the FREE stuff and search for the other information on the Internet, and see if it’s FREE, because it’s probably out there somewhere. If you can’t find it elsewhere, then consider buying the information. The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing is FREE yet other systems sell the same information. So do your research before buying so called “Secret” information.
