A noobs guide to making money online.

Here is an update for the month of November.

Univera
Monthly Cost = $300
Last Check = $0
My wife and I are seriously considering dropping this opportunity as we do NOT do any advertising or marketing for this opportunity. I do drink the product, but I could probably get the same results by exercising and eating healthier.

I thought my wife was going to actually give this opportunity a try, but she’s not doing anything. No marketing at all.

MyJetStreamHawaii
Xango/MyJetStream
Monthly Cost = $269.47
Last Check = $78 ($28 commission + $50 Sold a couple Bottles of Xango Locally)
I stopped actively marketing Xango/MyJetStream. My ads still appear in a few banner/traffic exchanges, but that’s about it. I did join a monthly training program called 180DaysToGreatness. I was lucky and got in when the program was on sale; therefore, I pay less than $10 per month. The regular price is almost $100 per month. The problem is I don’t follow the program as closely as I should. Maybe the program is priced high so people put more effort into the program? I know I’m not putting much effort into the program because I didn’t spend that much…shame on me!
EyeEarn by driving my car!
EyeEarn/SFI
Monthly Cost = $29.95
Last Check = $19.32
EyeEarn/SFI continues to be my best earner (cost vs. profit) and the easiest program to market. I do NOT do any paid advertising for this program. My ads appear in only traffic/banner exchanges and on this blog. I don’t get many hits on the traffic/banner exchanges and I don’t get much hits to this site. For the amount of effort and work I put into this program, I think I’m getting a pretty good return.
MyWorldPlus - The most powerful discount savings and cash back rewards program in the world!
MyWorldPlus
Monthly Cost = $19.95
Last Check = $2.80
I haven’t tried using the discount card for this program, and I haven’t done much advertising, so obviously I’m not making much money (no sign ups). I’m going to start promoting this program on a few traffic/banner exchanges for one month. If I don’t see any results, this program will be dropped. To be honest with you, I found a better discount book locally. It’s only $19.95 for a 1 year membership and there’s a wider range of vendors and a better discount.

Success University
Monthly Cost = $57.90
Last Check = $0
After much consideration, I dropped out of Success University. Advertising on a major site and a nationwide home business magazine I got only a handful of prospects, but no sign-ups. I actually spent $99 on the magazine ad, but my $99 was refunded to me because I caught an error in another ad. :)

The only program I recommend for other noobs like me is EyeEarn/SFI. The risk is very low at only $20 to start and $29.95 a month, and the results are almost immediate.

Of course my results are unique to me, but so far EyeEarn has shown the best rate of return for the amount of work that I actually put into the program. I get less than 150 visitors per month for this site, and my banners only appear on the TrafficSwarm exchange, and those ads get less than 100 clicks per month. I think I’m doing pretty good for the amount of traffic I am generating.

I was listening to my favorite radio station in Hawaii, Island 98.5 when the morning DJs (Lanai, Crystal Akana, and Junior Kekeuwa Jr.) did a segment called “Quote of the Day - Words to Live By”.

The funny thing is, I don’t remember any of the quotes??? But I have a few quotes and sayings of my own…

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.

Life is uncertain, eat dessert first.

What goes around comes around.

S#*T Happens!

Sometimes you just gotta say F*#K it!

Local Hawaii Quotes
If can can, if no can, no can.

If can can, if no can, bottle.

Thanksgiving Quote
Stuff the turkey, not yourself.

Of course I decided to go online looking for some quotes and I found this one at QuoteOfTheDay.com:

Funny Quote of the Day
A man in love is incomplete until he has married. Then he’s finished.
Zsa Zsa Gabor

I Hate Whale Wars! Has anyone seen this show? Whale Wars is the story of Captain Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. There mission in life is to “whaling, poaching, shark finning and habitat destruction” (copied from Animal.Discovery.com).

I understand that whales need protection. Heck, I live in Hawaii where I can see whales from my living room window, but these guys are just too much.

I only watched one episode, and that’s all I’ll ever watch. The Sea Shepherd literally “attacked” a whaling ship, threw chemical bombs onto the deck, tried to jam the prop on the whaling ship, illegally boarded the whaling ship, and then conveniently forgot to mention all the bad stuff they did to the news media, and reported that the whaling ship kidnapped their crew?! They showed different newscasts reporting the kidnapping incident, but only the Japanese news had the entire story.

The commercials for “Whale Wars” say Greenpeace doesn’t endorse their tactics, yet they (Animal Planet / Discovery Channel) are glamorizing these folks by giving them their own TV show. How about a series about Greenpeace instead? Who knows, maybe Greenpeace has a dark side too?

If their sole purpose is to stop these folks from whaling, why all the nasty tactics? If you listen to the show, someone on the crew says that the whaling ship stops whaling once they’re (Sea Shepherd) around. Sounds like all they have to do is stick around???

To make matters worse, the Sea Shepherd ship is called the “Steve Irwin”. In my humble opinion, I think Sea Shepherd is a blemish to Steve Irwin’s good name. I hated hearing Steve Irwin’s name associated with Sea Shepherd.

I was watching a re-run on the Discovery Channel this afternoon where Steve Irwin was swimming after a water snake, and then the Whale Wars commercial came on and I immediately changed the channel.

I HATE WHALE WARS! Please discontinue the show!

I own an Xbox 360 and I recently purchased Call of Duty: World at War. I played a lot of video games when I was younger, in fact my family used to own an arcade on Maui. But only recently did I start playing video games again.

I started playing HALO 2 on Xbox Live after watching my brother-in-law play online. I bought a regular Xbox and then I got hooked. I was playing HALO 2 every chance I got. My friends and I even had HALO 2 parties where we would setup several TVs and several Xbox’s and play HALO 2 until the wee hours of the morning. The youngest player was 8 years old and the oldest player was over 50.

Then, HALO 3 came out, what a disappointment! I didn’t like the game play as much as I liked HALO 2 so I switched to Call of Duty 4 and about 2 weeks ago I bought Call of Duty: World at War.

My friends started playing Call of Duty: World at War on Xbox Live as soon as they got the game, but I wanted to finish the campaign first. I played the first level on the campaign and then started playing “Hardcore Team Deathmatch” on Xbox Live with my friends and of course I was horrible.

My friend’s wife told me about a special game called “Nazi Zombies” which is unlocked after you finish the campaign in Call of Duty: World at War. Because I was playing so horribly I decided to finish the campaign and unlock “Nazi Zombies”.

I finished the campaign a few days ago and started playing “Nazi Zombies”. By myself I was able to reach level 12. I play Nazi Zombies to practice my aim. I do a lot better on Hardcore Team Deathmatch after warming up with some Nazi Zombies.

My Nazi Zombies Tips and Strategy

In the first room I buy the bolt action rifle for fun so I can practice my aim. I’ll usually have enough for the M1 at the end of round 1 so that I have two rifles for round 2.

The next room I enter is the “HELP” room, but I only enter after I can’t handle being in the first room (my escape route).

In the HELP room I trade out the bolt action for the Thompson. I use the Thompson exclusively and only use the M1 as backup. The HELP room is large enough to sprint around a few zombies. Sprint and strafe, when you stop sprinting reload.

I try to build all the “close” barriers and leave the far barriers relatively open (1 barrier at least). This will usually cause the zombies to clump together at the door to the HELP room. Try to keep an eye on the door so you can grenade a bunch of zombies at once.

Only move the couch at the top of the stairs in the HELP room when things get too HOT (another escape route).

Other TIPS
Always go for the head! Aim high and strafe!
Do not use the power-ups right away; you want to time the power-up as best as you can.
Build Barriers whenever possible.
Building barriers during the first few rounds is easy, but gets more difficult in the later rounds. If at all possible, leave 1 slow moving zombie “alive” so that you can build barriers between rounds. I sometimes use a grenade to the feet to cut the zombie in half to create a slower moving zombie.
You don’t have to face the barrier to build. Every once in a while you’ll actually be reloading near a window, that’s a good time to re-build the barrier by holding “X”. Just don’t forget you can still be swiped from behind the barrier.

New Strategy
I’m going to try a different strategy tonight. Move the couch in the first room and move the couch in the HELP room but keep the HELP door closed.

Call of Duty: World at War and Nazi Zombies are the reasons why I haven’t been posting much lately. I have my priorities… :)

And the winner is…WIEHANNE of SimplyWP.net with a total of 68 Comments!

VONMER of TrueOnlineMoney.com was a close second with 58 Comments!

PRIZE AMOUNT CHANGE

I asked wiehanne if she would mind me changing the prize amount, and she was gracious enough to leave the decision in my hands.

After much consideration I decided to change the prize amount to $40 for First Place and $10 for Second Place.

Although I didn’t get many participants (only 2 really…), I received a lot of great comments and advice, and I think I’ll be using entrecard for my next contest…
