This is a public service announcement…hehe.

I remember reading a magazine article about how some celebrities are asked to attend charitable functions and the celeb gets paid a ton of money just to “show face”. Yeah, I know it’s advertising, but sheesh, come on, it’s for charity! Fortunately not all celebrities are like this, and I truly admire those celebrities that do more than just donate money, like Angelina Jolie and Oprah Winfrey.

At the moment I do NOT donate any monetary gifts to any charitable institution, I don’t volunteer my time, but I do donate blood.

The first time I donated blood was because I needed something from a co-worker and they only agreed if I donated some blood. That co-worker retired, but I still give blood on a regular basis. It just feels good knowing that I can help someone.

My preeching today is be responsible! Do something for your community or others without expecting anything in return. Everybody always quotes Billionaire John Paul Getty with regards to Network Marketing, and I am going to say it about being responsible, “I would rather have 1% of the efforts of a hundred people rather than 100% of my own effort.”

We ALL just need to be a little more responsible, and this world will be a much better place.
