Website Traffic = Visitors = Income

My blog is slowly getting more and more traffic everyday. The goal of course, is to get several thousand visitors per day. The secondary goal is to provide my downline with a place to advertise at no cost. Ads on other blogs can start as low as $5 per month to over $500 per month. I should know, I’ve paid for that type of advertising, and it doesn’t always work.

Website Traffic is the key to online success, but newbies/noobs/newcomers like me usually have no clue about generating traffic to a website, and we normally fall prey to a multi-fold attack by online marketers. The first part of the attack is the draw of making money online and firing one’s boss, and “you can learn all of this for a small fee” or “no fee” at all, just fill out your name, email address, and phone number and start on your way to Financial Freedom.

Once we are suckered into providing our contact information and paying the small fee, we are hit by the second attack. The second attack normally starts on the “Thank You” page or the follow-up page after we submit our information. This is when the upsell occurs. It normally goes like this; now that you have our system, you need to get visitors to your site, you can buy our traffic generating system for $XXX, but you have to act now, as we will not make this offer again.

The bulk of the attack happens later, as your email in box is flooded by more and more offers and stories of success. The main purpose of the emails, to convince you to buy more products! This is a technique that corporations use, they get you on a mailing list, they provide you with great information to build trust, and then they market to you. Marketing 101

Of course, there are a few opportunities that actually provide you with very useful FREE information. Although I’ve spent a pretty penny on a lot of information, I am always learning something new about Internet Marketing.

Good News for my Downline. As the popularity of my blog increases I will be posting the names and cities of my downline team members along with their affiliate links (with their permission of course). My personal affiliate links will be phased out of all the pages and posts in this blog, and only my downline’s links will be advertised. NOTE: I’m actually waiting for permission from my EyeEarn downline to display their information, so you should see an “EyeEarn Downline” page very shortly.

I’m still trying to figure out how to keep things fair for everyone with regards to the affiliate links. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
