Do NOT buy from ExtremeHobbyOnline!
Posted by: Peter in My Blurbs, tags: ExtremeHobbyOnline, R/C, Remote ControlA few weeks ago I purchased a remote controlled helicopter from a kiosk in Las Vegas. After completing the purchase, the salesman gave me a card and told me, if I had any problems give these guys (ExtremeHobbyOnline) a call.
When I got home I couldn’t wait to try out my new “toy”, but I had to try the trainer program first. I spent several hours on the trainer over a few days, until finally, I decided to give my R/C helicopter a try.
I held the helicopter in my hand and revved up the engine. After a few moments, the engine seized. I have owned several R/C cars in my lifetime; therefore, taking apart my helicopter was no problem. I inspected the engine, and sure enough, the engine was seized. I immediately emailed ExtremeHobbyOnline. Well, that was on October 12 and I still have not received a response. For the past two days my wife has called with no answer and no return call.
I checked their website, and the engine only costs about $12.50. What’s the problem? I just need a new engine for goodness sake!
If you are looking for R/C parts or products, DO NOT BUY from ExtremeHobbyOnline because from what I have experienced so far, their service sucks!
