Today I received my refund from Jason for the SUCopyCat system, and I just want to apologize for any grief that I may have caused.

This whole situation could have been avoided had I just contacted my upline sponsor.

Todays lesson: You can’t “shoot from the hip” in this business. If you’re having problems, contact your upline! A good upline will help you out.

UPDATE 11/7/08 - I have recently come across some new information; therefore, I want to take back my apology.

I decided to look at the email I received when I decided to test my SUCopyCat link. Here is a part of that email…

PS: If you join Success University through my link here:

http://XXXXXXXXXXX.successuniversity.com/specialoffer

for only $2 for a 14 day free trial, I will teach you everything
you need to know to promote Success University and I will give you
free personal internet marketing coaching.

Those “X’s” represent an affiliate code, and it wasn’t mine.

The link is what I’m complaining about. I think I set up the system correctly, but I cancelled my account, and after my last post about SUCopyCat, I can’t access the system. I thought I would have a chance to double check my settings since I paid for the month, but my access is not working.

I do NOT doubt that Jason’s system works, and I wasn’t trying to “damage the reputation” of the team. Jason’s videos are a great marketing tool, but I don’t want this type of reaction from my downline if I use the SUCopyCat system.

Now that I look at the email again, why does it say “I will teach you everything you need to know to promote Success University and I will give you free personal internet marketing coaching.” What is the word free referring to?

Had I really wanted to damage the reputation of the team, I would not have posted this rant in my personal blog. I would have gone to the FTC.

Hey Jason, I write posts in my blog to generate traffic. The word “SCAM” (and now “SCANDAL”) is great for getting people’s attention. Maybe you should have just pointed me in the right direction and set me straight? After I read your comment I was going to give it another try, but I can’t access my account. How about a REFUND, if you didn’t already process a refund, so I can try it again later when I do have an AWeber account? Or can you check on my account and show me what I did wrong?

I joined Success University on 10/10/08. A few days after joining Success University my upline sent me a link to join and use the SUCopyCat system. The SUCopyCat system was developed by Jason Cardamone as a special “Secret” promotional tool to promote Success University for his personal downline. I had seen videos all over the Internet of Jason Cardamone; therefore, I thought this was worth checking into.

Cost $14.97/per month for the SUCopyCat system.

On 10/16/08 I received an email about the SUCopyCat coop and thought SUCopyCat might be a good idea. I figured the MyJetStream coop worked pretty well to get prospects; therefore, I think this coop will work pretty well also so I decide to sign-up.

I must not have read the sign-up information very well, because one of the requirements after I paid my first months fee was to sign-up with an email autoresponder, specifically AWeber. If you do not sign-up with the AWeber, the emails the system sends to your prospects will have Jason’s link in it!?!?

Yup I tried it. I clicked on my ad with my information and the email I got had Jason’s link. Of course the AWeber join link in the SUCopyCat system is an affiliate link for my upline, but I think that’s pretty underhanded. I know I’m supposed to build my own list, but I’m not ready for an additional $19 a month.

Success University $49.95
SUCopyCat $14.97
AWeber $19
Grand Total $83.92 per month

I cancelled my monthly subscription to SUCopyCat the day after I joined. Yeah I probably wasted $14.97, but that was very deceptive from my point of view.

Is the SUCopyCat system a scam? For me, because I didn’t read all the fine print, yes, I think SUCopyCat is a scam, but it is my fault for not reading the fine print.

Today’s Lesson: READ THE FINE PRINT!
