I received one sign-up via the HBC Ad.

The biggest waste of money was the Shoemoney ad. The ad brought in many contacts, but most were just curious to see the information.

The next biggest waste was the Adminder ad. Most of the prospects via the Adminder ad left a phony telephone number, which already tipped me off that the people responding were not really interested. On a side note, I tried using Adminder for other opportunities (Success University one month and EyeEarn.com for another month), both received only 1 or 2 leads. DO NOT use Adminder!

The next waste of money was the purchased leads. I thought it would be different because MyJetStream recommended the company, but I should have listened to almost every other site that said, “don’t buy leads!”

Today’s Lesson: Don’t reinvent the wheel! Advertising is not cheap! Test your advertisements before trying more expensive advertising methods.

You may find that leading with some kind of educational
training, as opposed to a business opportunity, may have
proven more fruitful.

In that you will also have the biggest chance of either
covering your advertising cost’s or making a profit, with
either your own, or someone else’s product or course
that you recommend via your email list.

I do agree tracking and split testing are vitally important.

Thanks for the tip. I’m looking into developing a “squeeze page” to build my own list, but funds are a little low now…:-)

Good idea to post the monthly results you have with the different ads. But I don´t really understand how you get those contacts.. Does it have to do with MyJetStream?

The standard recruiting process for MLM seems to be:

1. Offer free information to get their email address
2. Upsell on the Thank you.
3. Email more great information
4. Upsell
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 over and over again.
5. Introduce them to your MLM at some point in time.

My FREE information is “The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” by Ann Sieg.

Using the above process, I can see how serious the person is about MLM.

It’s a good way to keep on track and also to step back and see what works and what doesn’t work. Some bloggers post about their monthly stat and their earning stat. I did mine for the past 3 months, not sure I’m gonna continue it or not. :P

I never did it.. but it I do always like to read other peoples stats, specially the earnings. I gives a bit of an idea of how we´re doing. Helps for benchmarking :D
